Virtual showroom: the product in the client's hands
Instead of static photos, we built an interactive 3D product visualization that lets Comtec 3D customers explore the machine for themselves. We created photorealistic visualizations set in laboratory scenes and an interactive 3D model (Sketchfab) that lets you view the machine from every side without leaving the office.

Challenge
Photo shoots of heavy equipment in sterile laboratory conditions generated huge logistical costs. The client wanted to show its machines in different settings while letting engineers examine the device from any angle.
Solution
We rendered a 3D model of the machine and composited it into photos of laboratories and halls, matching light and perspective so the images blend naturally with the background photography. We optimised the heavy engineering model into a lightweight web version on Sketchfab, with a rotation animation users can take control of. We prepared the materials so that metal, plastic and displays react to light as the model turns.
Outcome
The interactive model embedded on the client's website lets customers view the machine themselves, and sales reps send a link instead of heavy files. Changing the product's setting now means swapping the background rather than transporting the machine. Users can rotate and zoom the model, so an engineer can check the detail they need without asking for extra photos.
The challenge: show the equipment in context

The 3D model opens in a web browser on both desktop computers and smartphones, with no extra software to install. Comtec 3D gained a presentation tool available 24/7 anywhere in the world.
Technical details
Texture was the key. We made sure the materials (metal, plastic, displays) reacted to light in real time as the model was rotated. This gives the client the feeling of handling a physical object rather than a flat image.
Digitising sales
The interactive model was embedded directly on the client's website. As a result, sales reps do not have to send large PDF or video files, they send a link where the customer can view the machine themselves. It is a modern B2B sales support tool.
Result: user engagement
Being able to control the view (rotating, zooming) puts users in charge of what they see on the product page. Clients can check the layout of connectors or the ergonomics of the control panel remotely, without waiting for extra photos. An interactive 3D product visualization also builds the image of a technologically transparent company.
